My corgi is only 4 but has painful joints. I bought the SOD and Boswellia to get off prescriptions that are more destructive in the long term. The pills smell terrible even with peanut butter, my corgi's food of choice, she keeps spitting them out. I have ground them up to add to food but no good. None of my six dogs will take them. I know I can cram it down her throat but doing that on a daily basis makes dogs paranoid. Too bad the tablets aren't in an oil based flavoring product.
