Be sure to choose a toy that is the appropriate size for your dog. Toys that are too big will cause your pet to lose interest, toys that are too small could be easily swallowed or become stuck in the throat. Watch to make sure your dog does not chew the toy and shred it into pieces. A toy that breaks should be thrown away immediately, since pieces of it can be swallowed.
