Bioflavanol-based antioxidant formula for adult dogs and cats using grape seed extract proanthocyanidin
Research has shown that bioflavanol from grape seed extract inhibits elastase and collagenase enzymes that continually work to break down connective tissue throughout an animal's body. At the same time, it helps repair broken collagen fibers by reconnecting them. In aging animals, the cumulative effect of these enzymes begins to manifest itself in capillary breakdown in kidney and eye tissue and in increased permeability of lung and gut tissue. Proanthozone may help an animal's body to repair or slow these developments of aging.

Dosages:
Proanthozone 50
The recommended maintenance dose for dogs 40 to 50 lbs is 1 capsule every other day.
For dogs 51 to 70 lbs give 1 capsule every day .
For dogs 71 to 90 lbs give 2 capsules every day
For dogs over 90 lbs give 2 capsules every day plus 1 additional capsule every other day.
The initial dose, when first starting this supplement is double the maintenance dose for the first 5 days.

How do you recommend administering Proanthozone® to cats on a long term basis?
A: We recommend opening the capsule and either sprinkling the liver flavored powder onto their food or mixing it into a small amount of wet food or some other treat, such as tuna.
Q: Can Proanthozone be given during pregnancy?
A: There is nothing in the product which would compromise the mother or embryo. To the contrary, Proanthozone may enhance the overall health of the mother, contributing to a normal pregnancy.
Q: Why would a dog have diarrhea for the first few days after beginning Proanthozone?
A: It is a rare occurrence, but should diarrhea be detected, it may be caused by a toxic cleansing initiated by the high nutrient value of Proanthozone. Once the cleansing is completed, the diarrhea should cease. In the few animals that have shown this response, the attending veterinarian has reduced the dosage and then successfully built it back up
Q: What initial response time can I expect from Proanthozone?
A: We recommend that you allow at least 30 days of use to achieve the desired result.
