Clinical trials have shown the effectiveness of the Miconazole-Chlorhexidine combination in Malaseb Pledgets against various Staph, Strep bacteria infections and fungus agents like Ringworm.
Malaseb Pledgets are designed with multifunctional surfactants (softening agents) and are specially designed for topical application, allowing gentle cleansing as well as wide ranged anti bacterial and anti fungal activity.
The pledget applicator is an effective way to gently treat the infected area between baths. Malaseb Pledgets are an effective treatment for hard to reach places such as between the toes and skinfold areas, and are designed as a localized adjunctive therapy, to be used as part of a comprehensive antimicrobial regimen including Malaseb Shampoo and Malaseb Spray. Enriched with Vitamin E to help normalize exfoliation rate and enhance dermal protection and renourishment.
Active Ingredient(s): Each MALASEB™ PLEDGET applicator (2.25 inch in diameter, 70% Rayon, 30% Polyester) contains approximately 17.4 mg of Miconazole (equivalent to 20 mg Miconazole Nitrate), 20 mg of Chlorhexidine Gluconate.
Medicated pads for dogs, cats, and horses.
Directions for Use: Treat affected area(s) 2-3 times daily, or as directed by veterinarian. Use pledgets to wipe affected area thoroughly. Distract animal for several minutes following treatment to prevent licking. Each pledget should be used once and discarded.
