Insulin syringes for diabetic pets
As a Vet you know that pets can develop diabetes. Pet owners might be surprised to learn that animals ranging from guinea pigs and rabbits, cats, dogs and even horses can develop diabetes. They may come to you because their cat is having frequent accidents and hanging around the water bowl or maybe their cat is displaying weakness in their hind legs. Sometimes a dog owner may not even know their precious pet is diabetic until the dog becomes blind, due to the rapid cataract development in a diabetic dog. It can be devastating news for a pet owner- most have never seen insulin syringes or thought about giving their beloved dog an injection.
The pet lover will be looking for guidance and/or supplies. Insulin will play a key role in treatment and to allow for the different rates of absorption and different formulations that may be needed, we supply both U-40 and U-100 insulin syringes in bags of 10 or boxes of 100.
Needle syringe basics
What is a hypodermic needle? It is hollow and used to inject substances (like insulin) or take liquid samples(like blood). Needles come in different gauges, which is how they are measured. The larger the gauge size, the skinnier the point. So a 30 means a smaller size. We have a variety of sizes and lengths to choose from. Needles often contain color-coded locking mechanisms for various needle syringe combinations. Inside the tube area, the needle syringe has a plunder in it, with a small opening. We are proud to offer the highest quality, sterile insulin and specialty on line Vet supplies available anywhere.
